Thoughts and memories/ Myśli i wspomnienia linoryty

Seria linorytów „Myśli i wspomnienia” (2019), nie ma jednego, jasno określonego tematu. Zaczęłam nad nią pracować tuż po powrocie z trzytygodniowego pobytu

na winobraniu na południu Francji. Tamtejsza wspaniała przyroda i krajobrazy zainspirowały mnie. Chciałam pokazać wrażenia związane ze słońcem i czystą, płynącą wodą, to, co widzi się nurkując w rzece, przez której powierzchnię przebijają jasne promienie. Jednocześnie w Polsce trwała wyjątkowo piękna i słoneczna jesień.

To właśnie żywe kolory, wrażenia związane z wodą i światłem, cienie rzutowane na ścianę przez poruszane wiatrem gałęzie, barwy liści i ulicznych latarni, marzenia, ulotne chwile, odpowiednie raczej do opisywania w haiku, były inspiracją dla tej serii linorytów.

Kompozycje mają przenosić odbiorcę w przestrzeń zadumy, marzeń i snów.

The series of linocuts „Thoughts and memories” (2019) is not touching upon one dominant subject. I started working on it just after coming back from a three week long grape harvest in the South of France. It was the amazing nature and landscapes surrounding me there that became my inspiration. I wanted to share all the impressions connected to the sun and crystal clear running water, the sensation of diving into the river illuminated by the shimmering rays of light. At the same time, the autumn in Poland was unexpectedly warm and beautiful.
All the vibrant colours, light, water, the warm shades of leaves and the shine of the street lanterns, all the ephemeral, haiku-worthy moments are present in this series of linocuts. The goal is to make the viewer feel the atmosphere of peacefull dreams and memories.
